Filmmaker Sohanur Rahman's daughter found dead in Dhaka hotel

Police recovered the hanging body of late filmmaker Sohanur Rahman Sohan's daughter from a residential hotel in Jatrabari of Dhaka on Sunday night.

Jatrabari Police Station sub-inspector Sabbir Rahman said police retrieved the body of Samia Rahman Sristy, 34, from 210 no. room of a hotel adjacent to Cambrian School and College at South Jatrabari around 7:30 pm. She was found hanging from the window grill with a cloth tied around her neck.

Samia would live with her husband at no. 3 sector of Uttara and a few days ago, she left home after quarreling with her husband over family affairs, he said.

Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
