Newspapers to stay shut for 6 days during Eid

Journalists and other officials working in the newspapers will enjoy a six-day holiday on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitr.

The newspaper office will remain closed from April 9 to 14, the Newspaper Owners' Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) decided in a meeting on Saturday.

The newspapers will not be published for six days in a row for the first time after the country's Independence.
