Operations of all banks in 6 Bandarban upazilas closed

Operations of all bank branches situated in six upazilas of Bandarban have been announced closed for security over the three incidents of bank robbery in the district.

The upazilas are Ruma, Thanchi, Rowangchhari, Alikadam, Lama, and Naikhongchhari.

Osman Gani, deputy general manager of Sonal Bank's Bandarban Branch, confirmed the matter to Jago News on Wednesday.

Earlier, two robbery incidents occurred at two branches of Sonali Bank, and Krishi Bank in Thanchi upazila today, and another one happened at a branch of the state-owned bank in Ruma upazila on Tuesday.
