3 killed as bus runs over auto-rickshaw in Mymensingh

Three people were killed and four others injured when a bus ran over a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Mymensingh on Thursday.

The accident occurred on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Ujanpara in Trishal upazila around 11am. 

Two of the deceased were identified as the auto-rickshaw driver Shariful Islam, 33, and Rubaya Tasnim, 2, while the identity of another could not be known immediately. 

The injured were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. 

Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Trishal Police Station, said the bus crashed into the auto-rickshaw while taking U-turn, leaving one person dead on the spot and two others injured. The injured were taken to the hospital where the doctors declared them dead.
