Gulshan multi-storey building fire under control

The fire that broke out in a multi-storey building at Gulshan in Dhaka has been brought under control.

Three units of firefighters brought the fire under control after around half an hour, Md Rafi Al Faruque, control room duty officer at Fire Service and Civil Defence, told Jago News.

Earlier around 4:15 pm on Saturday, a fire broke out on the ninth floor of the 18-storey AWR Tower at Gulshan-1.

According to the Fire Service, it is primarily assumed that the fire originated from the outdoor unit of air conditioner.
