DU Social Science Faculty Dean Zia Rahman dies

Professor Dr Zia Rahman, Dean of Social Science Faculty of Dhaka University (DU), has passed away.  

He breathed his last due to brain hemorrhage at Labaid Hospital in Dhaka early Saturday. 

DU Proctor Professor Maksudur Rahman confirmed the death to the media.   

Dr Zia was the founding chairman of the university’s Criminology department and provost of Ziaur Rahman Hall.
