A female student of Jagannath University (JnU) has made a complaint of sexual harassment against a teacher to the President.

The Film and Television Department student submitted the complaint at Bangabhaban on Tuesday, seeking justice for sexual harassment and bullying.

In the complaint, she said she filed an application to the university vice-chancellor in December of 2021, seeking justice for the sexual harassment and bullying that happened to her. But she did not get justice rather the harassing teacher and in support of him, the department chairman failed her in several subjects in the honor's exam, she said.

She said the accused teachers are driving her to suicide by threatening to expel, failing in exams, and mentally torturing by isolating her from other students.

Earlier on Monday, the student went to the office of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and accused JnU Film and Television dept teacher Abu Sahed Imon of sexually harassing her and making death threats to her.
