Road accidents claim 555 lives in February

As many as 555 people lost their lives and 1,031 others received injuries in 503 road accidents across the country in February, according to Jatri Kalyan Samity.

Of them, 210 died and 129 were injured in 173 motorcycle accidents, the passengers' welfare platform said in a press release on Wednesday.

Jatri Kalyan Samity also said 37 people were killed in 38 accidents that took place in railways and five accidents in waterways claimed seven lives in the country during the last month.
