Fire in Dhaka multi-storey building

A multi-storey building at Hatirpool in Dhaka caught fire on Thursday evening.

The fire broke out on the second floor of a six-storey building in Hatirpool Kachabazar area around 6:04 pm, said Ershad Hossain, control room duty officer at Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Being informed, seven units of the firefighters went to the spot and were working to douse the blaze, he said.

However, the official could not say anything about the causes of the fire and casualty in the incident.
