5 ‘Huji men’ put on 3-day remand
A Dhaka court on Thursday placed five suspected members of banned militant outfit Harkatul Jihad al Islami (Huji), who were arrested on Wednesday, on a three-day remand.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mahmudul Hasan passed the order when Inspector of Hazaribagh Police Station Nazrul Islam, also the investigation officer of a case filed against them, produced the arrestees before the court with a 7-day remand prayer.
The arrestees were identified as Moulana Rashedul Alom, chief coordinator of Harkatul Jihad al Islami (Huji), Abdullah Al Mamun, Abdul Malek, Rahisul Islam, and Abu Bakkar Monir.
