3 killed as truck hits autovan in Natore

Three people were killed and another was injured when a truck hit an autovan in Natore on Monday.

The accident took place on Bamihal-Durgapur road at Sukash union in Singra upazila around 11:30am.

The deceased were identified as Hosne Ara, 45, wife of Md Sattar Hossain of Bonkurail area in the upazila, Imran, 22 and his brother Rabbi. 

Md Mofazzol Hossain, chairman of 1 no Sukash Union Parishad, said three people were killed and another was injured when the speedy truck crashed into the autovan. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. Local people seized the truck, caught the driver and helper and handed them over to police.

Md Abul Kalam, Officer-in-charge of Singra Police Station, said police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. A legal action is being taken in this regard.
