Three killed as bus plunges into ditch

Three people were killed and at least 18 injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur early Faridpur.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Locals and police sources said a Dhaka-bound bus from Barguna fell into a roadside ditch in Chumurdi area around 2:30 am as its driver lost control over steering, leaving two dead on the spot and 19 injured.

Among the injured, another, later, passed away.

Bhanga Police Station officer in-charge Md Mamun Al Rashid confirmed the matter to Jago News.
