Spain Embassy official dies falling off building

An official of the Spain Embassy in Bangladesh has died after falling from a building in Gulshan of Dhaka.

The deceased was identified as Ismail Gil Serena, 58.

Gulshan Police Station officer in-charge Mazharul Islam said a citizen of Spain died after falling from the rooftop of a building opposite Gulshan Pinkcity Shopping Complex this afternoon.

A suicide note was recovered and police assume that the man was mentally sick, he said.

The body will be sent to hospital for autopsy and then, legal measures will be taken, the OC added.
