'Sexual harassment': Viqarunnisa teacher sent to jail

A court in Dhaka has sent a teacher of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College to jail in a case filed for allegedly sexually harassing a female student.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim Uddin on Thursday ordered to send the accused, Murad Hossain Sarker, to prison.

Earlier on Tuesday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki Al Farabi placed him on a two-day remand.

He was arrested from his house in Kalabagan in the capital early Monday and on that day, the institution suspended him.
