Another mortal shell recovered in Naikhongchhari

Another mortar shell has been recovered in Ghumdhum union under Naikhongchhari upazila of Bandarban.

Locals said they spotted a mortal shell in a paddy field beside a camp of Border Guard Bangladesh in Tumbru Pashchimkul area on Friday afternoon and informed the administration.

Later, BGB members went to the spot and recovered it.

Naikhongchhari Police Station officer in-charge Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter.

Earlier on Thursday, BGB retrieved a mortal shell in Noapara area of Ghumdhum union.

The mortar shells are believed to have been left behind by Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) personnel while crossing into Bangladesh after fleeing their country.
