PRAN group manager attacked in Natore
An official of the country’s largest food-beverage company PRAN was critically injured in an attack by the miscreants at Kafuria area in Natore on Saturday morning.
The injured was identified as Md Mohsin Ali, manager (administration) of the company and son of Md Shahadat of Kafuria area.
On behalf of him, Md Hashem, an official of the company, filed a written complaint with Natore Sadar Police Station on Sunday evening.
PRAN’s legal aid official Ashraful Islam said Mohsin has been working at the company for 25 years. He was going to the office from his home on Saturday morning. When he reached Tower Mor area at Kafuria, 5 to 7 miscreants attacked him with hammers, rods and stamps. The left hand and two legs of Mohsin were broken in the attack. A local van driver rescued him and admitted to Amjad Khan Chowdhury Memorial Hospital where he was given first aid. The doctors later referred him to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
He also said some local influential people of Ekdala area threatened Mohin a day before the attack.
In this connection, Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Natore Sadar Police Station, said an allegation of beating up an official of PRAN Agro Company Limited has been registered as a case. Legal action will be taken against the culprits after investigation.
