Weather may remain dry over country
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours commencing 9 am on Friday.
Moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins and light to moderate fog elsewhere over the country from midnight to morning.
Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may be disrupted temporarily due to fog, the forecast said.
Night temperature may fall by (1-2) degrees Celsius and day temperature may rise by (1-2) degrees Celsius over the country.
Cold day condition is likely to prevail at places over the northwestern part of the country.
Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.
The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 27.0 degrees Celsius at Cox's Bazar while the minimum temperature today was recorded at 09.7 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The sun sets at 05.35 pm today and rises at 06.43 am tomorrow in the capital Dhaka.
