Two children drown in Chandpur pond

Two one-and-a-half-year-old children drowned in a pond in Kachua upazila of Chandpur on Saturday morning.

The deceased were Abu Sayeed, son of Yeasin Talukder, and Abrar Hasan, son of Mohin Talukder, residents of East Kalcho village in the upazila.

Family members said the two minor boys fell into a pond near home when they were playing beside it.

Later, they were rescued and rushed to Kachua Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.
