Voting in 12th national elections ends
Voting in the 12th parliamentary election has ended with low turnout and sporadic violence.
The balloting ended at 4 pm which started at 8 am at 42,103 centers in 299 seats across the country.
Around 27.15 percent of votes were cast in seven hours till 3 pm.
Twenty eight parties, including ruling Awami League, and Jatiya Party, participated in the election while BNP and like-minded 15 parties boycotted it.
There are around 11,96,91,633 voters and of them, 6,07,71,579 are male and 5,89,19,202 female.
However, the election to Naogaon-2 constituency (Patnitala and Dhamoirhat) was postponed after the death of an independent candidate.
