War crimes accused arrested in Comilla

Police arrested a war crimes accused from his own residence at Amirabad of Daudkandi upazila in Comilla early Wednesday.

The arrestee is Md. Shahid Ullah, 72, son of late Zinnat Ali of the upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Police Station, Abu Salam said a team of police arrested Shahid after getting arrest order from International War Crimes Tribunal.

After the arrest, Shahid was sent to the ICT court at 8am, he added.
