One dengue patient dies; 60 hospitalized in 24 hrs

One dengue patient died and 60 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Tuesday.

Currently, 657 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 262 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 395 are in other divisions.

As many as 145 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 153 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
