Two dengue patients die; 106 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Two dengue patients died and 106 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

With the latest death, a total of 1,705 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Sunday.

Currently, 725 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 295 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 430 are in other divisions.

As many as 3,21,179 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 3,18,749 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
