Mastermind of cocktail attack at Dhaka court arrested

Dhaka Metropolitan DB Police have arrested the mastermind behind the recent cocktail attack on Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court premises.  

A source from the DB police confirmed the matter to Jago News on Tuesday. 

DB source said bomb expert Mukit alias Boma Mawlana was arrested in connection with masterminding the cocktail attack on the court premises. Bomb making materials were recovered from his possession during his arrest.

DMP’s DB chief and additional commissioner Mohammad Harun Or Rashid will brief the media regarding his arrest at a press conference at noon today, it is learnt.

On November 20, the cocktail attack took place in front of the Joint Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court-2 in Dhaka. No casualty was reported in the incident. 

Few moments before the cocktail blast, hearing on the bail petition of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, now in jail, was held in a case filed over the attack on the residence of Chief Justice at Kakrail in the capital.
