4 killed as train hits sand-laden truck in Mymensingh

Four people were killed and two others injured as Balaka Commuter train hit a sand-laden truck at a level crossing behind Shambhuganj GKP College in Mymensingh around 1:30pm on Monday. 

Police and local source said the truck fell into the roadside ditch after being hit by Balaka Commuter train, leaving four people dead on the spot and two others injured. Being informed about the matter, the fire service members rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. 

Anwar Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station, said the bodies were recovered but their identities could not be known immediately.
