JS polls: Motorcycles banned for 3 days

The Election Commission (EC) has imposed a ban on motorcycle movement for three days before and after the 12th Jatiya Sangsad election and all types of vehicles for the voting day.

The ban on motorcycle movement will remain in force from January 5 midnight to January 8 midnight and the same on all kinds of vehicles from January 6 midnight to January 7 midnight in election areas across the country on the occasion of the general election.

The EC said this in a special circular on Thursday.

However, candidates, law enforcement agencies, armed forces, administration and polling agents can use those vehicles during the period.
