Medical question paper leak: Nine including 5 doctors held
Police have arrested nine people, including five doctors, in connection with a question paper leak in the admission tests for the country's government and private medical colleges.
The arrestees are Md Sazzad Hossain, chairman of 3 No. Singra union under Ghoraghat upazila in Dinajpur, Dr Faisal Ahmed Russel, Md Rayhanul Islam Sohan, Bakul Roy Sraban, Md Abdul Hafiz alias Happu, director of Bits Coaching in Syedpur upazila of Nilphamari, Dr Md Sohanur Rahman Sohan, Dr Toufiqul Hasan Baki, Dr Faisal Alam Badha and Dr Ibrar Alam.
Azad Rahman, superintendent (media) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Police, disclosed this on Thursday night.
He said the nine people were arrested from Dinajpur, Nilphamari and Dhaka between Monday and Wednesday.
Nine mobile handsets, two laptops, cheques and checkbooks, and debit and credit cards of different banks were seized from them, he added.
The official also said all the arrestees gave their confessional statement in court about their involvement in a question paper leak in medical admission tests.
