Adam Tamizi sent to rehabilitation centre: DB chief

The chief of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Harun Or Rashid on Sunday said Haque Group Chairman Adam Tamizi Haque has been sent to a rehabilitation centre in police custody. 

“We have nothing to do if he has mental disorder,” the DB chief told journalists at his office in the capital’s Minto Road.  

He said Adam Tamizi is an accused in a case filed with Dakshinkhan Police Station. Besides, there is an arrest warrant in his name at Ramna Police Station.

The DB chief said they will interrogate him if he is mentally sound after medical examination. 

Earlier on Saturday evening, Adam Tamizi was arrested from his residence in the capital’s Gulshan. Later, he was taken to the DB office for quizzing.
