Adam Tamizi Haque arrested
Haque Group Chairman Adam Tamizi Haque was arrested from his residence in Gulshan of Dhaka on Saturday evening.
Later, he was taken to the office of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police at Minto Road in the capital.
Confirming the arrest, Additional Commissioner and DB chief Mohammad Harun Or Rashid said more details would be provided later.
Adam Tamizi is an accused in a Cyber Security Act case filed for allegedly making a death threat to the Prime Minister. Besides, there is a search warrant against him.
A man named Anisur Rahman Naim lodged the case with Dakshinkhan Police Station.
According to DB, there are a few allegations against him that include burning his passport and making derogatory remarks about the premier and he was taken to the DB office to question in this regard.
