Two dengue patients die; 566 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Two dengue patients died and 566 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

With the latest death, a total of 1,641 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Wednesday.

Currently, 2,614 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 688 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1,926 are in other divisions.

As many as 3,15,623 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 3,11,368 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
