2 Indian nationals killed as truck, car collide in Satkhira
Two Indian nationals were killed and another was injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a private car in front of the BGB camp in Satkhira on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Chobi Biswas, 36 and Asim Kumar, 45.
They were the inhabitants of West Bengal in India, it is learnt.
The injured are Sajeeb, driver of the private car.
Locals said a Satkhira-bound private car collided head-on with a truck, leaving two dead on the spot and another injured. The injured was admitted to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
Mohidul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Satkhira Sadar Police Station, said the deceased were the employees of Khulna-Mongla port rail line project. The bodies were sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital’s morgue.
