Seven dengue patients die; 1094 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Seven dengue patients died and 1,094 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

With the latest death, a total of 1,577 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Thursday.

Currently, 4,124 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 1,111 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 3,013 are in other divisions.

As many as 3,05,792 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 3,00,091 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
