Bus torched in Jatrabari, one injured
Miscreants torched a passenger bus in Jatrabari area of capital Dhaka on Tuesday night before the 48-hour blockade called by BNP and like-minded parties.
The incident took place at Jatrabari intersection around 8:50 pm, leaving one injured.
Fire Service and Civil Defence control room duty officer Rashid Bin Khalid confirmed the matter.
Later, two units of firefighters from Postogola Fire Station went to the spot and were trying to douse the blaze, he said.
However, the official could not inform about the identity of the injured.
Earlier on Monday, BNP and like-minded parties announced a fresh 48-hour blockade of road, rail, and waterways from Wednesday 6 am to Friday 6 am as part of the ongoing movement to oust the government.
