3 killed as truck collides with auto-rickshaw in Mymensingh

Three people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Mymensingh on Monday.
The accident took place on Mymensingh-Netrokona road at Kashiganj Bazar area in Tarakanda upazila around 12:30pm.
Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Officer-in-charge of Tarakanda Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
He said the auto-rickshaw was heading towards Netrokona. When it reached Kashiganj Bazar area, the truck coming from opposite direction collided head-on with the auto-rickshaw, leaving two people dead on the spot and injured three others. Later, one of the injured died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
The OC also said the truck was seized but its driver managed to flee away. Two women and a man are among the deceased. The identities of the deceased could not be known.
