437 people killed in road accidents in October

At least 437 people were killed and 681 others injured in 429 road accidents across the country in the last month of October. 

Of them, 144 people were killed and 76 others injured in 131 motorcycle accidents. 

Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity unveiled a report in this regard on Friday.

A total of 53 people were killed and 155 others injured in 29 accidents on railways throughout the country during the same period, the report said.

Additionally, 12 more people died, 2 received injuries and 2 were missing in 6 accidents on waterways in last month.

The report was published after analysing accident reports published in the country's national and regional dailies and online media.
