Rupganj blast death toll rises to 3 as another dies

Another victim of the explosion in a house in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj died in a hospital in Dhaka early Thursday.

With this, the death toll from the blast increased to three.

Deceased Ali Ahmed, 65, was a resident of Awkhabo Bazar area in the upazila.

He died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 1 am, said the facility's resident doctor Mohammad Tariqul Islam.

Earlier, two victims of the incident passed away. They were Ali Ahmed's daughter Shahera Akter, 24, and Md Sona Mia.

A gas cylinder exploded in a house in Rupganj upazila on November 3, leaving five members of a family injured.

Later, they were admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
