4 killed as bus hits billboard pillar in Mymensingh

At least four people were killed and 40 others injured when a bus hit a billboard pillar in Mymensingh in the early hours of Tuesday.

The accident took place on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Shikarikanda area around 12:30am. 

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The bus driver is among the deceased. 

Shah Kamal Akand, Officer-in-charge of Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station, said a Sherpur-bound bus of Fayaz Travels lost control while giving way to a truck and hit a roadside billboard pillar, leaving four people dead on the spot and 40 others injured.
