EC meeting with President deferred to Nov 9

The Election Commission’s meeting with President Mohammed Shahabuddin has been deferred to November 9.
Riaz Uddin, Personal Assistant of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal, confirmed the matter to Jago News on Saturday.
All the four election commissioners headed by the CEC are expected to meet with the president to inform their election preparations ahead of the 12th national elections.
The EC will announce the election schedule for the next general election after holding the meeting with President.
Earlier, the meeting was scheduled for Sunday.
A meeting with the president before announcing the schedule for the election is a long-time practice.
