Passenger bus set on fire in Uttara
Miscreants set a passenger bus on fire in the capital’s Uttara on Thursday morning on the last of the three-day countrywide blockade enforced by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
Shihab Sarker, Control Room Officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
He said the miscreants torched a bus of Paristan Paribahan at Azampur bus stand area around 7am. Being informed, firefighting members rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
According to the source, the miscreants in the guise of passengers got on the bus and set it on fire. They fled the scene after the incident. There were 12-14 passengers in the bus.
