Light rain likely in few places over southern region, Chattogram

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Sunday predicted that light rain is likely to occur in one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country," the bulletin said.

However, the day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius at Cox's Bazar and today's minimum temperature 16.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

However, no rainfall was traced anywhere across the country in the last 24 hours till 6 am today.

The sun sets at 05.27 pm today and rises at 05: 59 am Monday in the capital.
