Two Bangladeshis killed in Lebanon motorcycle accident

Two Bangladeshi nationals have been killed and another one has been injured in a motorcycle accident in Beirut, Lebanon.

The deceased were identified as Nilu Molla, vice president of Lebanon unit Awami League, from Rupsha upazila of Khulna and Jewel Hossain from Sakhipur upazila of Shariatpur while the injured is Fazlu.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening when a group of snatchers chased Nilu, Jewel and Fazlu while returning on a motorcycle from a program at Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut on the occasion of Sheikh Russel Day, leaving them seriously injured.

Later, they were rushed to a local hospital in the Lebanese capital where the on-duty doctors declared Nilu and Jewel dead.
