Noise pollution: One-minute silence observed in Dhaka

Aiming to create widespread public awareness about noise pollution, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change observed a ‘one-minute of silence’ programme in Dhaka to keep the city noise-free from 10am to 10:01 am on Sunday.

The programme was held with a slogan ‘Let’s stop sound pollution, observe a minute of silence’.

Public servants of environment ministry, public representatives, traffic police, members of transport bodies and scout members formed human chains from 9:30 am to 10:00 am in different parts of the capital to create awareness among the people.
