Nur Hossain’s wife arrested
The wife of sensational Narayanganj seven-murder prime accused Nur Hossain was arrested for acquiring wealth illegally from her house in Shimrail of Narayanganj on Monday morning.
The detainee is Ruma Akter, 40.
In this connection, Sarafatulla, Officer-in-charge of Siddhirganj Police Station, told Jagonews24.com that, a team of ACC headquarters in cooperation with police arrested Ruma.
She was sued by ACC for hiding information about Tk 3.62 crore and acquiring wealth worth Tk 5.3 crore illegally. ACC filed the case with Ramna Police Station in capital.
Ruma hid information about wealth worth Tk 36,270,000 when she submitted her wealth statement to ACC on December 8, 2015. Besides, ACC also found that she possesses wealth worth Tk 50,322,116 while the corruption watchdog conducted investigation.
