15 dengue patients die; 3123 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Fifteen dengue patients died and 3,123 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

With the latest death, a total of 943 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Tuesday.

Currently, 10,156 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 3,581 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 6,575 are in other divisions.

As many as 1,93,881 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 1,82,782 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
