Bangladesh may witness rains in 24 hours
Dhaka division and a large part of the country are likely to witness downpours again in the next 24 hours, days after heavy downpours virtually inundated the capital and other major cities.
The met office bulletin said on Wednesday, light to moderate rain thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal and Dhaka divisions.
It added that the weather in rest of the country, however, would remain "mainly dry" while the day and night temperature would also remain nearly unchanged.
Jessore appeared to be the hottest place for the day with met office recording the highest 36.4 degrees Celsius temperature in the western district while lowest 23.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in northwestern Rangpur.
The sun sets today at 6.09 pm and rises at 5.43 am tomorrow in the capital.
