Nazirpur AC land suspended for fixing bribe rate

Md Masudur Rahman, assistant commissioner (land), Nazirpur, Pirojpur has been suspended for fixing bribe rate for namjari (mutation) of land.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.

An audio of a conversation at a meeting with union land assistant officers in Nazirpur held in July went viral recently.

In the meeting, AC land Masudur Rahman fixed that union land assistant officers will charge Tk 6,000 bribe per namjari of land.

Following the audio viral, a probe body was formed by the Pirojpur deputy commissioner which primarily found the allegation against the AC land true, the notification said.
