ADC Harun attached to Rangpur Range

Additional Deputy Commissioner Harun Or Rashid, who was suspended over the alleged beating up of two central leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League, has been attached to the DIG Office of Rangpur Range. 

A notification issued by the Public Security Division of the Home Ministry said this on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday, Harun Or Rashid, additional deputy commissioner of Ramna Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, was suspended.

On Sunday, he was withdrawn and attached to attached to DMP's Public Order Management (POM) Division.

It was learned that ADC Harun was gossiping with a woman at BIRDEM General Hospital, Dhaka on Saturday night. At that time, the woman's husband along with two central leaders of BCL went there.

At one stage, Harun and the BCL leaders locked into an altercation and scuffle, and later, he along with the police force took the duo to Shahbagh Police Station and beat up them.
