Arrest warrant issued against BNP leader Tuku
A Dhaka court on Monday issued an arrest warrant against BNP leader Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku in a case filed for amassing illegal wealth as he disobeyed the High Court’s order.
Judge Iqbal Hossain of Dhaka Special Judge’s Court passed the order.
On May 30, the High Court upheld nine-year jail sentence of Tuku in the case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

On November 15, 2007, a special court sentenced him to nine-year imprisonment.
