11 dengue patients die; 2782 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Eleven dengue patients died and 2,782 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

With the latest death, a total of 657 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Tuesday.

Currently, 9,132 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 4,049 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 5,083 are in other divisions.

As many as 1,35,916 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 1,26,127 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
