Russian FM Lavrov to visit Dhaka on Thursday

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will arrive in Dhaka on Thursday on a two-day official visit before attending the G-20 Summit in India, according to the foreign ministry source.
He will hold a bilateral meeting with his Bangladeshi counterpart AK Abdul Momen on Thursday evening. He will also make a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday.
During his visit to Dhaka, different issues including Russia-Ukraine war and Bangladesh’s next general election, may be discussed, the diplomatic source said.
Lavrov left Dhaka for India on Friday afternoon to attend the G-20 summit to be held in New Delhi on September 9-10.
