2 killed as tractor runs over motorbike in Kishoreganj

Two people were killed when a tractor ran over a motorbike at college intersection area in Karimganj upazila in Kishoreganj on Monday morning. 

The deceased were identified as Fazil Madrasa teacher Hafizur Rahman Hashem, 32, son of Chamir Uddin of Komolbhog village in Itna upazila and Samrat Miah, 38, son of Nazimuddin of Kajla village in Tarail upazila. 

Ariful Haque, Warehouse Inspector of Karimganj Fire Service and Civil Defence, said bodies of the two were recovered and handed over to police. 

Mazhar Islam, Sub Inspector of Karimganj Police Station, said bodies of the deceased were sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital for autopsies. The truck was sized after the incident but its driver managed to flee the scene. 

Legal action will be taken in this regard, the SI added.
